-The Talmud in Baba Basrah brings down a number of stories from Rabbah Bar Bar Chanah where he describes strange situations that occurred to him.
-Rabbah Bar Bar Chanah was always working on rectifying different attributes, he would play around with a particular Midah until he reached a very high level in that particular attribute, he would then move to another one.
-As he was progressing he would be shown visions describing the place he was currently holding as well as the mysteries involving that particular attribute. These visions were experienced as if he was living them out; many have had similar experiences while meditating or rarely when one is in a state of half sleep as he passes thorough other dimensions.
-Rabbi Nachman of Breslev in his book Likutay Maharan explains many of these visions and shows how they fit together with the Tikunim that Rabbah Bar Bar Chanah was currently doing.
