-Because entertainment never existed for the nation of Yisroel.
-All other nations had theaters, tournaments, sports, gladiators and many other ways to waste their time.
-The Jews throughout history spent all their spare time studying torah, praying and meditating.
-Even while fighting wars they would make time for this.
-When one gets out of the klipas these things are more enjoyable then any other activity.
