Regarding G-D's offer to have an Angel lead Yisroel

-After they sinned G-D offered to have an angel lead the nation in his place. Moshe refused the offer.
-Meaning it came as a package the reward and the punishment.
-The greater one is the more he suffers if he sins.
-With G-D leading them they were able to transcend to extremely high levels. However the judgments were much stronger when set off.
-The consequence of being directly attached to G-D was fearsome but it was still worth it.
-Throughout the two generations of the desert the tribes o Reuvain, Ephraim and Naftali shrunk. The tribe of Shimon lost two thirds of its people , despite a population increase of a second generation.
