Story – Revenge of the king

-This story probably never happened. It is brought down in Cochvay Ohr in the name of Rabbi Nachman. He was known to dress wisdom in stories.
-Here is the story…
-A king was once insulted by his priest, under the current circumstances he was unable to publicly punish him. Yet he sought a plan for revenge.
-The king had a Friend who said he would take care of it for him.
-The friend put on a dark robe, and placed candles on the back of some turtles. He then entered their place of worship and started yelling from the alter.
-The noise drew in many people who were confounded by the vision of the figure and the many lights moving around the dark room.
-The priest trembling from this otherworldly sight stepped foreword. The dark figure informed him that he was a messenger from high, who had come to take the priest to the Land of Eden.
-On hearing this, the priest fell on his face bowing to the divine being. The messenger then informed him that since he had sinned he must undergo some punishment before he could receive his reward. He then threw a sack to the priest and told him to climb inside.
-The Priest overjoyed at the opportunity climbed into the sack. The figure then took the sack and left through a back door. He then hung the sack in the palace courtyard.
-People passing by could see the figure squirming in the bag, thinking he was being punished for a crime they all hit him as they passed by.
-After a while the Priest began wondering if something was a little wrong. He was greatly embarrassed when the King sent someone to cut him down.
Note: these people never had a real mystical experience, either way it is an interesting story
