Rabbi Nachman once said, “ A person, for a simple pleasure lasting a quarter of an hour can destroy himself from this world and the next.”

A person spiritually destroys himself. Even in the physical manifestations this can easily be seen. A person can receive an STD. He can produce an out of wedlock child. He can be socially destroyed if his actions become known.

Another time he remarked, “The lust for food, at least gives a person more energy but this desire does not even do that, it does the opposite it greatly weakens the person.
