-This is brought down by Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan
(Encounters) in the name of Maurice Samuel.
-A child hates his teacher even though he can't explain why.
-Under close examination it becomes clear that it is not the teacher he
hates but rather the school. Being in school keeps him from doing the
things that he enjoys, such as playing ball.
-Subconsciously this resentment is transferred to his teacher, who he
considers most responsible for keeping him in school. He then goes and
declares his hate for his teacher.
-In ancient times all nations were pagans. They worshiped many different
Gods which were based on their lusts. They were able to live out their
animalistic nature which defined their essence.
-They were not bound by he moralistic codes of a monotheism religion.
-As Christianity took over the civilized world, its followers became repressed
unable to openly act out their animalistic lusts. Although they are far
from being holy, they became obligated to a new set of ethics which limited
them.
-Afraid to place blame on the founder of their religion they subconsciously
transfer their frustrations on to his nationality and his original religion
that was the source for Christianity.
-Meaning this is not the reason for anti Semitism, but it could be part
of it.
