Regarding the famine in the days of Avroham

- Avroham came to the land of Canaan to spread the glory of G-D.
- He was very successful and caused many people to give up their Idolatrous practices.
- The main reason people practiced Idolatry was to draw down energy from the various hosts of heaven. People were knowledgeable in the different rituals needed to do this.
- A famine occurring right after a large drawback of worship, made Avrahom look like a liar.
- This is part of why the famine was considered one of the great tests of Avrohem.
- Very similar are the women who complained to Yermiyah. They had started listening to him and ended their sacrifices to the Hosts of the Sky. Since then their energy supply had been cut off.
- The truth is, when a person repents he receives an immediate influx of light. However this is soon replaced by many hardships, as the judgments surround him, this lasts until he rectifies all the damage he caused in the past.
