This is but a small part of the meaning
of Tzizit.
- The basic concept of Tzizit is protection.
- Tzitzit is like and armor one wears to ward of evil spirits and the
Sitra Achar.
- Its ultimate effectiveness will obviously depend on the holiness of
the person as well as that particular pair of Tzizit.
-The fact that is that a person can not stay in the same level but is
always moving up or down between the side of kedusha and the side of evil.
Unless a person is doing good he is always going down. It therefore a
good thing we have Tzitzit which is worn the whole day, a person can constantly
be performing a mitzvah.
- Also, since it is always worn, the Tzitzit serve as a reminder to prevent
a person from committing sins. Many men were saved form doing and act
of Niuf at the very lasts second when they realized thy were wearing Tzizit.
- In addition the Techelet (blue string of the Tzitzit) is used as a meditation
device. Just like a mantra works by regulating oneself to a specific word
so too with visualization a person can rise into a meditative state just
by gazing at an object he had constantly meditated on in the past.
- A person, who is always carrying the Techelet on him, simply lifts it
up gazing upon it. Letting his mind go from the blue color to the ocean
from the ocean to the sky from the sky to the Throne of Glory and form
the Throne of Glory to the bricks of Sapir. As the nation of Yisroel saw
as they received the torah “Under his legs a wall of Sapir.”
