- When the nation of Yisroel was trying to reach the land of Canaan they wanted to pass through Edam since that would shorten the travel distance.
- The main reason they wanted to pass through their land was to steal their energy.
- Edom is very powerful thy have the power of the Dinim ( Harsh Judgements). Like everything else in the world this could be used for good or bad. Yisroel wanted to gain control of this energy so it could be use d for Kedusha, to punish all the wicked people.

- The nation of Edom was fully aware of what would happen if Yisroel would pass through their land. They therefore came out fully armed not letting Yisroel even approach their border.
- Yisroel circled around them, for it was not yet time to do battle with Edom.
- This is very similar to Mitzrayim. When Yisrole left Mitzrayim, they wiped the place clean of all their energy. This is why they started chasing after them.
