-Avrahom set up a large tent at a busy crossroads. Over there he would supply the public with three things Food, Drink and Accommodations (Company). This is alluded to in the name of his tent AshL which is the acronym for these three words in Hebrew.
-Many tikunim were accomplished through this process. The reason why he chose these three in particular, was to rectify the damage done in the earlier generations. Adom by eating, Noach by drinking as well as the sin of Sadom of being hostile to strangers.
