Regarding Bilams Curse

-One of the things Bilam was trying to accomplish was to awaken the Judgements upon Yisroel.
-In order to do this he had to make use of the two names that emanate Judgement, Elokim and YK.
-However every time that he tried pronouncing the name Elokim, he found Himself unable to finish the name. Only the first part of the name was able to leave his mouth. This was the name KL the first two letters of Elokim. This name is the source of Chesed, Loving Kindness.
-A similar thing would happen when he tried pronouncing the name YK. Bilum found himself forced to pronounce the additional syllable of VK. Together YKVK forming the four letter name which is also a name of mercy.
-This is why he replied “I am unable to go against the word of G-D to do big or small” (Bamidbar 22/18). ‘Big’ to stretch KL to Elokim, ‘Small’ to say YK by itself.

NAMES have been replaced with the letter K
